Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 19 June 2026

The agreement that governs your use of the service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("SessionBeacon", "we", "us") governing your use of the SessionBeacon service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use SessionBeacon. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

2. The service

SessionBeacon provides tools to schedule sessions, track availability, run polls, send reminders and share subscribable calendars. We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Acceptable use

Your use of SessionBeacon must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for breaches.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process and display that content solely to operate the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload and that it does not infringe others' rights.

5. Fees

SessionBeacon is currently provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, and accordingly no cancellation or refund terms apply. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will publish the applicable subscription, cancellation and refund terms before you are charged.

6. Availability "as is"

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important information (you can export your data at any time).

7. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to re-supplying the service or the cost of having it re-supplied.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

9. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where necessary to protect the service or other users.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes you will be asked to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use the service. The current version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
